Black Mass XL – 2-color Posters

For the 40th iteration of their Black Mass event series, Auris Apothecary asked us to design and print the physical posters, and we were pumped about the opportunity!

We wanted to do something extra special, so Jarod created this stunning skull and textural design, which uses tons of light-colored negative space and distorted lines to create a perspective of depth. Featuring a rich black skull in the center and eye-popping glow in the dark ink, when the lights go out the white paper turns into black and the reversal of tones makes the skull feel likes it popping out. A further play on depth!

Simple sans serif typography and a solid black bottom border complete the 12.5″ x 19″ poster, which was printed using all water-based inks onto 100lb Smart White French Paper.
